News from the Primary Coordinator

It has been another wonderful term full of great learning, adventure and accomplishments.

This term, our Primary students have taken part in many projects, outings and activities that have helped them gain a better understanding and make greater connections with the topics that they have learnt.

Geography and Excursions

Our focus topic was Geography and each class took part in an outing, some included, The Chinese Museum, The Eureka Skydeck, The Werribee Zoo, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Local Community walks and even a visit to the local Shopping Centre and Reserve.

Gymnastics

The students completed their terms worth of Gymnastics and we believe that we may have some somersaulting, hand standing little gymnasts amongst us. It has been amazing to watch the children's growth and development in their strength, flexibility and overall their gross motor skills, which has a great impact on their learning in many other areas.

Incursions

We had some great incursions in which students were provided with great knowledge and understanding, including the Camp Quality Puppet Show, which informed our students of what it is like to be a kid living with cancer and difficult questions that students had were answered. Students were given strategies on how to be understanding and supportive of each other.

We also had the Australian Animals visit the Year 2's and some fun orienteering for the Year 3's. The Zaky Show is also on our list and will inform our students about Ramadan.

Classroom Learning

All classes took part in many learning activities including assignments, projects and quizzes, games, constructing and designing in all learning areas. Please take the time to read your child's teacher's information about some of the fantastic things that they have taken part in.
